Biography:  Elizabeth Maughan is a former Kansan, now living in Oklahoma City. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University and taught K-12 music in north central Kansas for six years. While teaching, she pursued a Master’s degree with Kodály emphasis from WSU. In 2010, Elizabeth moved to central Oklahoma to begin a doctoral degree in elementary music education. She received her doctorate from the University of Oklahoma in December 2013. After serving as interim professor at OU for a year, she worked at a Title 1 elementary in Norman Public Schools teaching PreK-5th grade general music. She is currently employed at Piedmont Intermediate School and teaches 5th/6th grade music, choir, and theatre arts.
